Weekly Makeup Madness

Makeup Essentials when Travelling!

I always struggle when it comes to packing and not only because I am a avid overpacker but also because MAKEUP. I used to never know what to bring and would end up packing all my makeup and taking it with me! I have finally gotten it down though and wanted to share a few tips and tricks with all of you!

Pack your clothes first! Packing all of your clothes first will give you a general idea of how you should do your makeup each day!

Take into consideration the activities you will be doing and the weather! If you are going on a beach vacation chances are you will be needing waterproof makeup! If you are heading somewhere for a family wedding make sure you pack the glitter! Or lets say you are going to on a ski weekend, make sure you bring your moisturizer!

Lippies! Take 1 lip liner that is slightly darker than your normal lip color as well as 3 lipsticks, a red, a nude, and a dark one! Not only will you now be able to use those colors by themselves but applying the dark lip color with a nude in the middle of your lips creates a beautiful ombre effect!

Before leaving the hotel make sure to set your makeup with a setting spray, I recommend e.l.f. setting spray from Target for $3.00! Carry a few oil wipes that you can use throughout the day as well and a concealer that you can use to retouch your makeup with.

YOU DO NOT NEED EVERY EYESHADOW PALETTE YOU OWN I PROMISE. The best thing to do is take a gold, silver, and black then a few extra colors depending on what you are wearing!

I am the biggest stickler when it comes to using brushes for the same thing but in this case we can take a walk on the wild side and live a little! Take 2-3 eyeshadow brushes of varying sizer that you can use for different things, you can use your blending brush to also add product into your outer crease! Using you eyebrow brush as a double for adding shadow under your waterline is a great cheat as well as a flat tip eyeshadow brush to also add product in the inner corner of your eye!

Here’s what is in my makeup travel bag!
